Here I am with Mr. Krebs in an ice cave on Mendenhall Glacier in Alaska. We were fortunate to trek Mendenhall Glacier for two hours on our trip to Alaska this past Summer. I sure do love a good adventure!
I am originally from Williamsville, New York (a suburb of Buffalo), but I have been a resident of Charlotte for fifteen years and I now consider Charlotte "home". I come from a family of educators; my mother was a teacher, as well as my father and they instilled in me the belief that education is paramount. I have an undergraduate degree in Psychology, a Masters degree in Elementary Education, as well as my certification in AIG (Academically and Intellectually Gifted K-12). I have been teaching for fifteen years and have taught grades 3, 4, 5, and in a K-5 hands on Science Lab for two years.
Not only am I a teacher, but I am also a mom to two terrific boys! Evan is 16 and a junior in high school and Dylan is 12 and in 7th grade. I also have two dogs that I absolutely adore: Daisy, my Chihuahua, and Jack, my Lab mix.
Each year, my goal is to make third grade memorable. I want your child to look back at third grade and say "Third grade was the BEST year because..." This will be my second year at Huntersville Elementary and I look forward to another memorable year for your child at Huntersville Elementary!
